Type WB: Babbit Headed Hammer with Wooden Handle

Hammers with babbit metal heads are usually referred to as simply "babbitts". The word babbitt refers to any of several soft, silvery antifriction alloys composed of tin usually with small amounts of copper and antimony.

Bearcat Tool™ uses a specific composition of babbitt made primarily of a special lead alloy that produces a head with a remarkably long life. 

Head is well secured to a hickory handle and cross-pinned with a steel spring pin.  Head is non-sparking & non-marring, neither too soft nor too hard.

Handles are black iron pipe with a vinyl grip.
